About us
The Nepali Women’s Global Network (NWGN) is a global community dedicated to empowering and connecting Nepali women across the world. Founded in 2002 on the strength of shared experiences, resilience, and a collective vision, NWGN was created to open doors for women to grow, lead, and uplift one another.
Today, NWGN unites women from diverse backgrounds, professions, and generations through a vibrant global network rooted in collaboration, advocacy, leadership, and cultural pride. Through impactful programs, meaningful partnerships, and community engagement, we amplify women’s voices, create opportunities, strengthen communities, and inspire lasting change.

We build strong connections among women by creating safe spaces for networking, cultural exchange, and mutual support across generations.
EDUCATION & IMPACT
We invest in women and girls’ education through disbursement of grants to women-led research studies that makes lasting social impact.
EMPOWERMENT & LEADERSHIP
We encourage Nepali women in developing leadership skills, confidence, and independence through mentorship, training, and community outreach.
ADVOCACY & SUPPORT
We advocate for women’s rights and well-being while partnering with organizations to create meaningful programs, and robust support system.

Our Goals
- To foster a supportive global network of friendship and understanding between Nepali women and other women.
- To collaborate with national and international organizations with similar missions on events, activities and projects
- To create global regional chapters of the Nepali Women’s Global Network.
- To represent and advocate for the interests of Nepali women and other women in general.
- To provide leadership training and opportunities to participate in the affairs of the organization.
- To promote citizenship and civic involvement.
- To support women in crisis through a consultation networks, peer support, confidential social service referrals and resource pooling.
