Megha Sink

General Secretary: Megha Sink, North Carolina

Megha Basnet is the Founder and Current President of Arambha Nepali Library, a 501(c)3, and the
first registered Nepali library in the USA.  Born and raised in Nepal, Megha discovered her calling in
nursing while volunteering at Kanti Children's Hospital after high school. She pursued this passion by
obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Fairmont State University (FSU) in West
Virginia. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in various capacities - as a Nurse, Charge Nurse,
Case Manager, and Population Health Nurse - serving diverse adult populations. Megha has actively
participated in various leadership roles, including President of the International Student Organization,
Advisory Council Representative, Faculty Senate Member, and Multicultural Representative in
Student Government.  She has had a lifelong passion for promoting Nepali culture, from co-
organizing “Nepal, for a Night” at FSU to organizing with the Nepal Community of North Carolina
(NCNC) where she has worked as an organizer for the annual “Nepal Day” as well as organizing
monthly events with her team at Arambha Library. She currently resides in North Carolina.
