International Women’s Day: March 6, 2016
NWGN organized 105th international Women’s Day at MIT on Sunday March 6th 2016.The program was a grand success where 200 people attended the event.
This year International Women’s Day 2016 campaign theme #PledgeForParity is Women’s empowerment and its link to sustainable development:
Review theme: The elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls.
The event had talented speakers to share their inspiring experiences. They shared expertise in the work they have done in the areas of migration and women’s issues whose roots may lie in poverty and other socio-economic factors but also reflects the need for more action and improvements in our social, legal and justice systems. The Key note speaker of the day was Dr. Shobha Hamal Gurung, author of the of the Book “Nepali Migrant Women and Resistance and Survival in America”

Temporary Protection Status (TPS) Workshop, July 18, 2015
Nepali Women’s Global Network (NWGN) organized TPS for the Nepali Community at MIT on Saturday, July 18, 2015. The event was in collaboration with Alpha Agency, a Boston based non-profit organization working for immigration. The information was provided to Nepali Brothers and Sisters. About 60 people attended the session.
Yard Sale for Earthquake Victim in Nepal:
NWGN organized Yard sale in the month of June and August 2015 for the Earthquake Victim for Nepal. About $1300.00 has been collected from the events. The fund has been sent to Nepal to the neediest person through NWGN Nepal Chapter and other partners organizations in Nepal.
International Women’s Day: March 6, 2015.
On March 8th 2015, Nepali Women’s Global Network (NWGN) decorated the halls of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MA with bright smiles and beautiful sarees. The occasion was International Women’s Day and the agenda was to celebrate womanhood while also emphasizing on empowerment one another.# Make it happen.

On March 8th 2015, Nepali Women’s Global Network (NWGN) organized 103rd International Women’s Day which was GRAND SUCCESS! More than 200 people attended. The event was organized in the Nepali First Church, Cambridge, MA. More than 200 people attended the program.
International Women’s Day: March 9, 2013
On March 9th 2013, Nepali Women’s Global Network (NWGN) and Nepali Mahila Awaaz, Boston, jointly organized the International Women’s Day for the first time in Boston, Massachusetts. The program was organized at first Nepali Church. About 150 people attended the event.
